Are You a Catalyst?
Here is something to help you begin identifying human catalysts, starting with yourself. If you are reading this and looking for a way to help (empower) yourself and people around you, you are likely a Catalyst. It is important to see it and own it if you are going to maximize your power and use it effectively.
Gather Observations:
- Are you someone who looks to improve the situation, who is curious about new options, who explores and takes risks trying them out?
- Do you prefer to inspire your co-workers, students, family, and others rather than commiserate with them?
- Do you seem to find a way to make it happen rather than make an excuse?
- Are you a highly energized person? Do you find yourself craving inspiration?
- When spirits sag, do you rally or route?
- Are you inspired when someone tells you it can’t be done? Even if you first feel discouraged?
- Does it bother you to see that things are not improving?
WHAT YOU ARE UP AGAINST
Non-change, inertia, the status quo, and the "Overwhelmed Mind". You will need to refine your power and temper it so that when you use your power, it doesn’t get caught up in the patterns you are trying to change. A catalyst precipitates change in a system without being weakened by the system. That takes clarity and focus and resilience. All of which you have, it is just a matter of development, training, and tempering.
An innovative, empowering, inspiring, real time, reliable solution, it is a revolutionary departure from the current perception of stress, inspiration, and productivity. This requires the ability to redirect energy, effort, and focus away from the old system and to the new system.
